RAPID ACCESS COUNSELLING CLINICS
WHAT ARE RAPID ACCESS COUNSELLING CLINICS?
Rapid Access Counselling is a free, immediate, accessible form of brief counselling. The services are provided by qualified counsellors. We also help people to connect to the community and health services they need. Rapid Access Counselling is not a replacement for traditional counselling - it is a piece of the continuum of community based mental health services.
CLINICS FOR ADULTS
Clinics are targeted to adults, couples or families who present with a wide range of needs. Counsellors will work to address issues such as stress, family or relationship dynamics, parenting challenges, addictions, trauma or other challenges. Services are available in person or virtually across Saskatchewan.
CLINICS FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH AND THEIR CAREGIVERS
Clinics are targeted to children and youth, ages 6-17 years of age, and their caregivers. Services are tailored to young people and their caregivers through child and youth centred approaches. Services are available in person or virtually across Saskatchewan.
CLINICS FOR LOSS OF A LOVED ONE TO SUICIDE
Clinics are targeted to those who are experiencing the loss of a loved one to suicide - whether it be a family member, friend, colleague or another important person. Services are delivered by counsellors specifically trained in navigating the complex grief that accompanies a suicide death. Services are available in person in Regina, Saskatoon, Humboldt and Prince Albert, and virtually in the rest of Saskatchewan.
Rapid Access Counselling Clinics are not a substitute for emergency mental health care. If you or someone you know needs immediate help, please call 9-1-1 or proceed to your nearest Emergency Department.
